Last week, the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley had it’s first virtual panel discussion for incoming first-year & first-generation college students. The goal of the panel discussion was for students to hear from Katia Luis Diaz, currently majoring in industrial engineering at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Marieli Rubio , currently majoring in civil engineering at Santa Clara University. Incoming students had a chance to ask questions and hear from successful peers who were once in their shoes.
